MJD Glass Installations Inc. is a family, locally owned and operated company. Joe Vandereyk and his son Dan started their business in 1989. The company’s first location was in the family garage where they made screens and did small residential window contracts. In 1991 they moved to the 5th Avenue location, then in 1993 to the McIntosh location. In 2000 the company moved to their present location at 45787 Yale Road, which is located under the Yale Road overpass.

Today, MJD Glass Installations Inc. is one of the largest glass companies in the lower mainland. They handle both residential and commercial projects. They install skylights, windows, doors, shower doors, patios and solariums, security shutters and have a screen shop on site. They pride themselves in providing quality installation and service. They have over 20 employees and 13 service vehicles. Dwayne Miller, the manager has been with the company for 14 years. Dwayne works closely with Dan ensuring that the local customers are looked after as well as their out of town clients. Dan and Dwayne have a combined 45 years experience in the glass and door business. Dwayne looks after the local end of the business, while; Dan specializes in the commercial division, which keeps him working between Vancouver and Kelowna.

The company is proud promoter of the “Energy Star Program”. This program promotes the purchasing of energy saving “energy star products”. The company recommends the purchasing these products, which not only save in heating and cooling costs but also, add value by improving the appearance of a home.

In 2007 the company did extensive renovations to their complex and now also offer commercial office space for lease. The company is proud to be a member of the Better Business Bureau and is a supporter of local charities and schools.
